Our toddler room caters for young children at the walking stage of their development. A young child's development is enhanced through play. Play is child's work, it is a child's way of learning. Play develops good work habits i.e. independence, co-operation and the ability to follow directions. It also sharpens the five senses. It is the bridge to friendship and gives a child the opportunity to experiment and to develop their imagination. It teaches the skills, pleasures and responsibilities of compansionship and leads to well rounded emotions.
Play leads to discovery, reasoning and thought, but above all play must be fun. As your baby develops into toddler hood we beginning to introduce more stimulating activities such as simple jigsaws, play dough, sand and water play, cooking, painting, simple arts and craft, songs and rhymes. The children also get lost of fresh air in our garden. This group has a leader who is with them throughout the course of their day with us. this we feel is very important to a young child as they will bond with this person and it helps them feel secure in our care
